
About Wild Connection
Wild Connection is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to wildlife conservation through research, education, and community engagement. Our work is currently focused in Uganda, including Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we support projects that connect field-based conservation with local communities.Wild Connection develops and supports conservation projects in partnership with local collaborators, schools, and communities. Our work includes wildlife research, student programs, and community-based initiatives designed to strengthen long-term conservation. Donations help fund project development, field activities, educational materials, and program coordination. Donations support field activities, educational programming, partnership development, and the ongoing work required to build effective conservation projects.

Executive Director and Research Director
Dr. Jennifer Verdolin is a behavioral ecologist and science communicator who founded Wild Connection to link field research with applied conservation. She oversees the organization’s research portfolio and strategy, making sure that what is learned in the field shapes both education programs and community partnerships.

Dr. Ramona Walls
Vice President and Data Science Director

Dr. Ramona Walls is a botanist and data scientist who helps Wild Connection turn field observations into usable information. She supports the design and analysis of research projects, builds tools to manage and interpret data, and advises on the organization’s scientific direction.

Seneca Nunn
Treasurer and Community Engagement Director
Seneca Nunn oversees Wild Connection’s finances and helps ensure that the organization’s resources are managed responsibly. She also leads community engagement efforts, building relationships and developing outreach that strengthens support for Wild Connection’s mission.

Simon Mbabazi
Education and Community Outreach Coordinator
Based in Uganda, Simon Mbabazi leads Wild Connection’s education and community outreach programs. He works with local schools and community groups to deliver workshops and hands-on projects, and he manages the organization’s education programs on the ground.
