WHAT
WE DO

For us at Wild Connection,  passion meets purpose. Our mission is to foster a more harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world. As a not-for-profit organization, we are have three pillars: conservation research, STEAM education, and community engagement. Through cutting-edge research initiatives, we strive to understand and protect fragile ecosystems, ensuring the preservation of biodiversity for generations to come. Our commitment extends to empowering minds through innovative STEAM education programs, inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and conservationists. We also believe in the strength of community, fostering connections between people and nature through immersive experiences, events, and outreach efforts. At Wild Connection, we envision a future where humans coexist sustainably with the planet, driven by curiosity, compassion, and a profound respect for all living beings.

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

We are engaged in several projects and launching new ones. At the heart of every project we initiate is a commitment to protecting people and wildlife, empowering students to become strong leaders, and supporting communities to address the challenges they are facing.

Wildlife Conservation

We have  wildlife conservation projects in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) in Uganda. From mountain gorilla genetics to the impact of microplastics on elephants and other wildlife in QENP, we believe that applied research is critical to guiding conservation and management policy.

STEAM Education

Communities around the globe are battling the accumulation of plastic waste. In Uganda alone 600 million tons of plastic waste are produced every day. Although awareness exists and many places are making strides in reducing single plastic use waste and advancing recycling initiatives, marginalized communities commonly experience poorer environmental conditions, from pollution to weak infrastructure to manage waste. Education alone is not enough to begin addressing the waste management challenges these communities face. We utilize innovated approaches from sports and music to art and film to inspire students to become agents of change in their communities
