Wild Connection is a US 501(c)3 that conducts field research and delivers education and community programs across two of Uganda's most biodiverse ecosystems: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our work focuses on the species and communities that depend on each other for survival.

Field Research
We design and run on-the-ground studies that track wildlife and habitat change in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Education
We partner with primary and secondary students on science and art projects so they can see, question, and explain what’s happening to the ecosystems around them

Community
We work directly with local partners to shape conservation projects that reflect their knowledge, priorities, and daily realities.

Each day, mountain gorillas, like Mahanne, make choices about where to feed, where to travel, and where to build their nests. By tracking those decisions in Bwindi, Team members from Wild Connection study these patters so we can better understand how gorillas respond to changes in habitat, food availability, and human pressure. That information helps guide smarter conservation on the ground.
